Big Bang post OH MY
Hi! I dunno if this is gonna be the final team (and if not, best of luck to you wherever you end up), but I figured I ought to say hello, especially since I haven't been around much in public. I am here! And I've been writing. I even made a Googledoc! Right now I have a draft of the first chapter done, and I even attempted an outline! That's not my usual MO so who knows if it'll stick, but it's exciting to me.
Maybe I should introduce myself a little? I go by Misailury (a name that comes from my dislike of cats, as I figured that was one of my more unique traits amongst the internet populace at large), I'm kinda old in internet years, and I currently live in Japan. I'm on the island of Kyushu, though sadly nowhere near Fukuoka, which is my favorite city in the country, even moreso than Tokyo. Unfortunately for me, the big Ace Attorney doujinshi con is in Tokyo and every year I fail to make it there... but hey, maybe next year will be my year!
I've never done anything like this before and I have no idea if my weird rarepairs are anyone's jam but mine, but I hope this can be a fun thing. :>

My feeling on cheerleading is that the concept is great for making sure that you've got somebody to provide support and encouragement without having to also navigate the more complicated territory of beta-reading with the same person. I can stick to 'you can do it!' / 'I really like this one bit where you did this thing' or I can do a little more actual in-depth feedback if you like, i.e. answering when asked whether I like option A, B, or C better, or suggesting that maybe you could expand on this one scene, that sort of thing.
I'm in US eastern time but I have excessive free time on my hands right now. I guess Japan is 13 hours later (as I write this it's a little past noon and worldtimeserver.com says it's a bit after 1am in Japan), which isn't great for realtime chat as it means that my approximate sleep time or midnight or 1 to 8am or 9am runs from 1-2pm through 9-10pm for you, but I can chat before bed (and possibly even stay up a little late) or first thing in the morning sometimes, on Chatzy or Google or possibly other places.

Okay, so feel free to say what you think! You don't have to go out of your way for in-depth feedback, but you don't have to hold anything back, either. And I'll ask you for your thoughts sometimes :> Like right now I could really use a thought on what to name papa Ichiyanagi/Debeste's pet snake.(Death? Napalm? Zippo? Sebastian II? Sebastian I, implying that his son is Sebastian II? idek)
I don't expect a lot of real-time chat, but I'mma try to come in more often
and derail everyone with dumb thingsHello there!
I'm on EST like akatonbo so I might not be available for chatting when you're up but feel free to message me here or email me (caesiumdressing@gmail.com) any time. I'll try to get back to you as quickly as I can.
Now, a question, would you like me to comment and edit on the google doc or would you like me to download it, edit/comment and then send it back?
Re: Hello there!
I can work with whichever way is preferable to you. I have the googledoc set so anybody can comment now.
I do worry a little bit about you not having played AAI2, not so much because of spoilers as I'm not sure how much sense the story will make, since a large part of the plot is centered in Blackquill being caught up in the aftermath of that game. Though if there's any way I can help with that, please let me know!
...Also I will try not to be a gross stan about it, but I'm too curious not to ask, why don't you want to play AAI2?
Re: Hello there!
Honestly, AAI wasn't a bad game but I found myself not really enjoying it as much as the main series. The characters were great and the story was fun but the gameplay elements just weren't doing it for me. I finished it but by then end I was just begging it to be over because I wanted to know what happened but I didn't want to push myself to do the game parts any more. I don't think I'd bother playing 2 just because I didn't like the game part of the first one.
Re: Hello there!
At any rate, I have a LP on hand if the mood so strikes you.

I can't wait to see what we can come up with!

I don't have anything super useful to say right now, but I'm looking forward to seeing your stuff.

Haha, no worries, I've been playing Metal Gear games this whole time... Well! I did write about a third of chapter two this week. That's something, anyway.
I wouldn't say no to Taka or Money if we could snipe one of those! Or maybe Keyes' hummingbird... I think some kind of bird is best for proper Simon Blackquill purposes
