Big Bang post OH MY

Hi! I dunno if this is gonna be the final team (and if not, best of luck to you wherever you end up), but I figured I ought to say hello, especially since I haven't been around much in public. I am here! And I've been writing. I even made a Googledoc! Right now I have a draft of the first chapter done, and I even attempted an outline! That's not my usual MO so who knows if it'll stick, but it's exciting to me.

Maybe I should introduce myself a little? I go by Misailury (a name that comes from my dislike of cats, as I figured that was one of my more unique traits amongst the internet populace at large), I'm kinda old in internet years, and I currently live in Japan. I'm on the island of Kyushu, though sadly nowhere near Fukuoka, which is my favorite city in the country, even moreso than Tokyo. Unfortunately for me, the big Ace Attorney doujinshi con is in Tokyo and every year I fail to make it there... but hey, maybe next year will be my year!

I've never done anything like this before and I have no idea if my weird rarepairs are anyone's jam but mine, but I hope this can be a fun thing. :>

Hello! I'm your cheerleader and I am in fact pretty excited about your story, since I like both Simon and AAI2 an awful lot. Will need to actually PLAY the game to get the names properly stuck in my head! (I watched a YouTube translation that used different names than the translated ROM at a time when the ROM was only on case 2.)

My feeling on cheerleading is that the concept is great for making sure that you've got somebody to provide support and encouragement without having to also navigate the more complicated territory of beta-reading with the same person. I can stick to 'you can do it!' / 'I really like this one bit where you did this thing' or I can do a little more actual in-depth feedback if you like, i.e. answering when asked whether I like option A, B, or C better, or suggesting that maybe you could expand on this one scene, that sort of thing.

I'm in US eastern time but I have excessive free time on my hands right now. I guess Japan is 13 hours later (as I write this it's a little past noon and worldtimeserver.com says it's a bit after 1am in Japan), which isn't great for realtime chat as it means that my approximate sleep time or midnight or 1 to 8am or 9am runs from 1-2pm through 9-10pm for you, but I can chat before bed (and possibly even stay up a little late) or first thing in the morning sometimes, on Chatzy or Google or possibly other places.

Hello there!

I'm really excited to beta for you. Your story sounds interesting and I'm looking forward to reading it. I have not played AAI2 but I'm not really adverse to the spoilers because I don't think I'd play it if it were released in English. I personally think Simon doesn't get enough use outside of Cykes/Quill or Black/Bright pairings. I'm hyped to see something different.

I'm on EST like akatonbo so I might not be available for chatting when you're up but feel free to message me here or email me (caesiumdressing@gmail.com) any time. I'll try to get back to you as quickly as I can.

Now, a question, would you like me to comment and edit on the google doc or would you like me to download it, edit/comment and then send it back?

I'll do my best! I can maybe watch a lets play or something.

Honestly, AAI wasn't a bad game but I found myself not really enjoying it as much as the main series. The characters were great and the story was fun but the gameplay elements just weren't doing it for me. I finished it but by then end I was just begging it to be over because I wanted to know what happened but I didn't want to push myself to do the game parts any more. I don't think I'd bother playing 2 just because I didn't like the game part of the first one.

Oooo, I'm gonna watch that! If they really did improve the gameplay then maybe I'd give it a shot. And you hit the nail on the head, the Alba thing killed it dead for me.

Hi there! I'm your artist and I can't wait to see how this goes! I'm not really familiar drawing any of the characters besides Simon so this will be really interesting and good practice for me! I'm on CST and won't be too active on chats and stuff but you can always reach me through e-mail.

I can't wait to see what we can come up with!

Ugh, I've been kind of busy/zonked lately and awol, must fix that. But today is mascot day, and I'm supposed to actually make the claim, so ideas! Taka is an option, as is Money the monkey, and a few other AAI2 prison pets. Any preferences?
